Straight-pull technology
The term Straight-pull refers to spokes with no bend at the head. This design allows for an ideal strength to weight ratio when compared to conventional spokes. Due to their more precise alignment and direct trajectory, straight-pull spoke technology creates a stiffer, more responsive wheel.

Straight-pull hub shell
Having been carefully engineered, the DT Swiss Straight-pull hub shells have been designed to remove any unnecessary material to achieve lighter weight without sacrificing durability.

Straight-pull spoke positioning
The Straight-pull lacing design allows for optimized spoke positioning, creating a stiff wheel with even load displacement and minimization of unwanted load peaks.

Straight-pull lacing pattern
The Straight-pull hub's lacing pattern is designed for ideal balance of spoke tension and neutralization external forces. Additionally, the design of the spoke anchor points isolates the hub bearing seats from any spoke induced load. This design increases bearing durability and longevity significantly by allowing the bearing pocket to remain true and constant.

Spoke anchors
Due to the shape of the spoke anchors, spoke pull has only minimal effects on the bearing seats, which in turn considerably increases bearing longevity.
